Hanks Hotel

I took this photo of the old Hanks Hotel at Calico Ghost Town located in Southern California. Calico is a former west mining town that has been around since 1881 during the most significant silver strike in California. With its 500 mines, Calico produced over $20 million in silver ore over a 12-year span. When silver lost its value in the mid-1890's, Calico lost its population. The miners packed up, loaded their mules and moved away abandoning the town that once gave them a good living. It became a "ghost town." ​

Santa Fe Depot

​I capture this photo of the historic Santa Fe Depot in the late evening with view people in the area. The depot is Located in the heart of downtown San Diego near the cruise ship piers and other bayside attractions. It has served residents and visitors to San Diego for almost 100 years. ​

San Diego California Temple

Situated near the upscale community of La Jolla in San Diego, the beautiful double towers of the San Diego California Temple soar above I-5 in densely​ populated Southern California. Connecting the towers at the center is a supernal star-shaped atrium filled with a healthy, colorful garden.

Old Flour Mill

This century-old flour mill is located in Oaksdale Washington. It's the only one of its kind left on the Palouse, but there's far more to it than being rare. It wasn't just for milling flour; it​ was a nerve center for an entire community. It was how people fed their animals all winter, because they brought the grains that they grew, and they were cracked and then fed to their animals all winter. It was a hub of activity.

Lonely Old Red Barn

I captured this old red barn all by itself next to a country gravel road on the Palouse in Eastern Washington.​

Assembly Hall

​I took this photo of the Assembly Hall located on southwest corner of Temple Square in Salt Lake City, Utah. This charming Gothic-style building has lovely stained-glass windows. This jewel of architecture was constructed by Latter-day Saints between 1877 and 1882.​

Vikingsholm Castle

​I captured this photo of Vikingsholm Castle Located on the shoreline of Lake Tahoe Emerald Bay. Lennart Palme, a Swedish architect, designed the castle. Vikingsholm is considered one of the most beautiful examples of Scandinavian architecture in the United States.

Phoenix Air Traffic Control Tower

I captured this photo of the Phoenix Air Traffic Control Tower in the late evening. I was on a 100-foot Radar equipment tower looking across the taxiway on Sky Harbor Airport.​​​

Kinderdijk Holland Windmills

I captured this scene of working windmills in Kinderdijk, Holland. The most important aspect of UNESCO World Heritage Kinderdijk is undoubtedly the unique collection of 19 authentic windmills, which are considered a Dutch icon throughout the entire world.​

Murrieta Veterens Memorial

We have a beautiful Veterans Memorial here in Murrieta, CA. It presently consists of three granite monument walls, WWII, Korean War and Vietnam war with an artist rendering of those wars and conflicts in which the U.S. has been engaged. I decided to capture this photo of the WWII monument and the Obelisk with the inlaid granite American Flag draped over it. It was a perfect sunset casting gorges yellow and orange colors in cirrus clouds behind it.
