Half Dome from Gacier Point Yosemite

I capture this image at sunset from Glacier Point. Glacier Point is a viewpoint above Yosemite Valley, in Yosemite National Park California. It is located on the south wall of Yosemite Valley at an elevation of 7,214 feet, 3,200 feet above Curry Village. The point offers a superb view of Yosemite National Park's Yosemite Valley, including Yosemite Falls, Half Dome, Vernal Fall, Nevada Fall, and Clouds Rest.

Multmanah Falls

Harmony Borax Works death valley

After borax was found near Furnace Creek Ranch (then called Greenland) in 1881, William T. Coleman built the Harmony plant and began to process ore in late 1883 or early 1884. When in full operation, the Harmony Borax Works employed 40 men who produced three tons of borax daily.

Beaver Meadows Rocky Mountains

I capture this beautiful scene of beaver meadows from the Trail Ridge Road in the Rocky Mountain National Park. Trail Ridge Road is apparently one of the park’s standout attractions. The Road is one of the most scenic routes in the United States, as well as the country’s highest continuous paved road—in other words, the most upper route that doesn’t merely​ ascend to a dead end.

Turnagain Arm Alaska

This is the aftermath of the great 1964 Alaska earthquake in an area located 30 and 40 miles southeast of Anchorage. The land areas around the head of Turnagain Arm near Girdwood and Portage dropped as much as 2.4 meters (8 feet) in what was once the forest, now fills with water at high tide.

The Site includes a former molybdenum mine and milling facility located on three square miles of land and tailing ponds located on approximately one and a half square miles of land, which are currently owned by Chevron Mining Inc. (CMI).

Micro storm Clouds over badlands NP

The Badlands were formed by two basic geologic processes: deposition and erosion. The sedimentary rock layers of Badlands National Park were deposited over millions of years. The layers similar in character are grouped into units called formations. Erosion began in the Badlands about 500,000 years ago when the Cheyenne River captured streams and rivers flowing from the Black Hills into the Badlands region

Glacier Nation Park at Logan Pass

I captured this image at sunset near Logan Pass in Glacier National Park. In the background is Clements Mountain on the right and Mt. Oberlin on left. This national park is rightfully called the Crown of the Continent because of its pristine forests, alpine meadows, rugged mountains, spectacular lakes and waterfalls.

McDonald Creek Glacier National Park

I captured this small falls on McDonald Creek in Glacier National Park. McDonald Creek, tracing the western section of the Going-to-the-Sun Road, flows down from Mount Geduhn of the Livingston Range in Glacier National Park. This springtime rush of cold, Rocky Mountain snowmelt has transformed this glacial stream into a thunderous river.

Clark Fork River Montana

The Clark Fork, or the Clark Fork of the Columbia River, is a river in the U.S. states of Montana and Idaho, approximately 310 miles long. The largest river by volume in Montana, it drains an extensive region of the Rocky Mountains in western Montana and northern Idaho in the watershed of the Columbia River. The river flows northwest through a long valley at the base of the Cabinet Mountains and empties into Lake Pend Oreille in the Idaho Panhandle.​

Joshua Tree National Park

I capture this grove of Joshua trees in Joshua tree National Park. The Joshua tree is a Yucca plant. Joshua trees are fast growers for the desert; new seedlings may grow at an average rate of 3.0 inches per year in their first ten years, then only about 1.5 inches per year. It can live for hundreds of years; some specimens survive a thousand years. The tallest trees reach about 49 ft. The upper elevation in Joshua tree National Park has a forest of these beautiful plants.​

Zion National Park

I captured this photo of the unique red rock formation in Zion National Park. I converted it to a monochrome enhancing the texture of the rocks.

Bryce Canyon Amphitheater

I took this photo with a view of a portion of the Amphitheater and line of hoodoos in the background from Bryce Point along the rim of Bryce Canyon National Park, Utah. The chaotic destructive force of water, not wind, is responsible for the fantastic shapes in Bryce Canyon.
